See What I See
My two most valuable photography assets are my eyes and my heart. Some photographers may be born with the skill of feeling the frame, but for me, translating photography from my head to my heart is a learned trait. The practice is about clearing out the past, ignoring the future, and quieting the chatter. Once I am nowhere else but absolutely, positively in that moment, expressive photos come easily. Many who find love in the viewfinder will relate. My chase for the perfect capture is that you may see what I see.
Photo: On this late November evening, Rocky was perched up on a rock wall around the pool. The sunset was matched to his coat. One flash, to light his face and coat, matched with this dramatic sunset made for a nice effect. It is clear, he was not nearly as impressed as I was, with our scene.
